This is my next four iterations that I have done using a different image, think is interesting enough but it isn't as exiting as the other image. Also I think its slightly to dark to see my head, an I have been unable to remedy this. for these iterations I think the titles are striking but no to over complicated, I'm also happy with the general composition. Additionally I have been able to figure out how to create the text a the bottom, on this iteration I wrote this myself and used block capitals and transform to get it right.

This is my next poster, I have used a more conventional layout this time. I think that I have developed enough elements for a subtle but affective poster, the title, strap line actors names, and release date should be all I will need. The only issue is the text at the bottom concerning the production team, the font and layout is has been very hard to emulate and I have yet been unable to do it properly.

For my next iteration will try to emulate the text at the bottom, I used an image from the internet for this one as it is only a mock up.

This is my next attempt at a poster with one of the new images , though its unconventional in that its in landscape rather than portrait. I think that the composition makes and affective image but its perhaps not what I'm looking for in a film poster. my next iteration will be in portrait i think.

I have taken some more photos with the intention of having a colorful vibrant image with a clear and dramatic focal point. with these running shot I feel I have achieved this, these iterations are a big improvement on the previous ones. there are still some rough edges like the red eye and lack of clarity on this images, but I'm sure I can combine the elements from these three iterations into a final design that I will be happy to submit.

for this iteration I merged the moon with the Total film title, the changed all the red to blue in order to keep a consistent style. withe a Little tidying up I may implement this into m final design.

with this iteration I used the woodland style title I had
allready, although it fits well with the setting i think its to dark to be affective. I also increased the size of the film title and implemented a gradient, this makes it look allot more polished.

In these three iterations I have spent allot of time trying to get the graphics and juxtaposition right, by looking at existing editions of Total film. I think now the textual elements are up to standard, an i will be able to transfer them into my final poster with only minimal modification.

I'm very pleased with the text hierarchy here, details like alternating colours and use of bold block capitals make the articles grab your attention like on a real magazine. the only issue that still remains is the main photo, i have tried here to give it a focal point by adding an old photo of myself. although it looks fairly natural in the scene my expression doesn't relay reflect the situation so even this is substandard in my opinion.

In the two examples bellow I tried to focus on the "welcome to Greyfeild" sign with the blood splatters on it , although the elements fit well together its still not dramatic enough for a front cover. I think the text and graphical elements of this cover are nearing the end of development but the photography can still be better,

I plan to go and gather more images tonight as I cant relay improve on these three iterations until I have some more material.

This was my first attempt at making a poster using an actual screenshot from the film. Although hunting, the image is far to grainy as I had to enlarge and crop it to fit with the rule of thirds. although I changed the title font to try to compliment this dark image I still don't think it looks polished enough to submit so I will not be attempting to use any more screenshots for the poster until a get better quality footage.

With this poster I have cropped the image to try and focus more on the interesting part of the photo. I have also looked at how film posters sometimes have quotes from reviews as well as a star rating. I studied the text hierarchy and tried to lay out the reviews as best I could based on the conventions that already exist. however I could not put the review source in a different colour because of legibility issues. despite all the effort that went into this I still think that something is lacking, I need a photo with a main focal point in the form of a character from the film, I plan to go out and do this as soon as the weather lets up.
