for my main project this year i have decided to do a film intro from the detective genre, we have began to look at some examples of the detective genre. These example include "Sherlock" the TV series and the 2010 fetcher film as well as "brick" and "CSI". Although i like attention to detail in "CSI" i think the American examples of the detective genre are not as believable as the British Sherlock. despite this i think the film version with the long fight an extensive action in the intro under mimed the believability of the sequence, i far prefer the more subtle style of the TV series. the fact that all the characters are grounded in the real world with real world problems like paying rent, disability and depression, this ground level style not only makes for a more believable story but also will be essayer for us to draw upon given the resources available.
